Idgie and Ruth

today i got two very wonderful very adorable roborovski hamsters! I didn't have names picked out for them but the moment i saw the way they acted in their new home i KNEW they were Idgie (the little one) and Ruth (the bigger one) (named after the main characters from Fried Green Tomatoes).

In short one doesht go anywhere long without the other, Idgie is a very spunky curious girl who- despites the breeds nature actually is quite prone to coming towards people (not actually in your hand but gets quite close to it sometimes) and Ruth is the more pulled back and less prone to go towards something new right away- but at the same time Ruth is always seeming to be the one in charge of what goes on in the end. After about an hour of them exploring their new home i took this picture as they laid down for a nap.
